Pancreatic Enzyme Product Gains FDA Approval |
|
The FDA has approved a new pancreatic enzyme product (Pancreaze, Johnson & Johnson) to improve food digestion in patients whose bodies do not produce enough pancreatic enzymes. The delayed release capsules may benefit patients with conditions such as cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic tumors, or those who have had complete or partial removal of the pancreas.
